Hear ye, hear ye, our podcasts are here!

Hurrah, our podcast is finally here!

You spoke, we listened! Our recent customer surveys found that many of you are interested in learning more about a variety of topics, including healthy eating for families, the psychological wellbeing of your children and how to encourage a love of reading. Because we adore our customers and want to be as helpful to you as possible, we have sourced experts in these areas to deliver a series of interviews via our new podcast, The Organised Family. Happy listening!

Louise Keats

The Organised Family Episode 1 hosts cookbook extraordinaire, Louise Keats.

Hailing from Aussie cooking royalty – her grandmother is cookbook queen, Margaret Fulton, and her mother is celebrated food writer, Suzanne Gibbs – Louise herself is certainly no slouch in the kitchen, graduating from the prestigious cooking school, Le Cordon Bleu, as well as attaining postgraduate qualifications in nutrition. As the mother of two young children, Louise also understands the need for healthy, tasty and fuss-free cooking.

Listen to Louise as she discusses how to manage and prevent fussy eating, and how to set up positive eating habits that will last a lifetime.

Dr Justin Coulson

The Organised Family Episode 2 hosts one of Australia’s leading parenting experts, Dr Justin Coulson. With a professional background in psychology and first-hand experience with his six daughters, Dr Coulson knows a thing or two (or six) about children!

Listen to Dr Coulson as he discusses how to promote emotional resilience in your children, how to communicate positively with them and how to nurture a happy and harmonious family. The focus of this podcast is how to effectively deal with the anxieties and fears around starting school. Dr Coulson also tackles questions from listeners such as how to have a stress-free school morning, appropriate screen time and how to strike a balance when it comes to discipline.

The Organised Family Episode 3 hosts Tracey and Sarah from Booktopia, Australia’s leading online bookseller. Tracey and Sarah speak about the importance of sparking an interest in reading from a very young age (including while in the womb!), and provide tips and tricks on how to get kids of all ages (especially boys) interested in books.

Tracey and Sarah also discuss questions from listeners such as whether traditional books are superior to e-books, cunning tricks to get kids hooked on books via audiobooks, and whether poo books are exploding (pardon the pun) in popularity.
